I’m not sure when I bought the pre-release version of Luminesca, but I assume it to be months ago. Probably, if I were to guess, around the time I saw its coverage on Rock Paper Shotgun. Maybe even a week after or so, given my habit of storing up RSS posts and reading them all in one long multi-hour session.
However, I liked what I played today. It looks really good and reminded me of the few minutes I’ve played of Closure. The combination of the different parallax layers with lighting effects makes for a unique visual style. I look forward to see what happens, and possibly some explanations of the creatures, in the final game once that comes out.
