I really like Journey. And I also really like Proteus too.

If I wrote nothing else about my compo entry for Ludum Dare 26 this weekend, the pairing of those two would, at least in mind, sum up what I tried to achieve in a very small scale with my game this weekend. It’s certainly not the best of those possibilities either, but I’d like I think it was some small step in own personal development path toward games that speak incredibly loud with the fewest of words. It’s simply, in a way, an act of emulation of these other games I like so much — and imitation, it is said, is the sincerest form of flattery.
